How it works
The restaurant problem
Marketplace apps take commission, paper menus go stale, and orders that arrive by email or text get missed on a Friday night.
How Codefusion solves it
Codefusion hosts a branded ordering site, optional brochure website, Stripe payments to the restaurant, a 10-inch tablet terminal with repeating alerts, and kitchen printing — as one platform, not a till.
What is included
Customer ordering (collection and delivery), pay-up-front Stripe, guest checkout, tablet accept/reject, kitchen tickets, owner dashboard, emails to the customer. A brochure site on www if the package includes it.
How installation and onboarding work
Codefusion creates the restaurant, assigns a package, connects domains, customises the brochure template if entitled, loads the first menu, helps with Stripe Connect, pairs the tablet, and runs a test order before go-live.
The commercial benefit
The customer stays on the restaurant’s own domain. The kitchen hears every order. Codefusion hosts and updates the software.
Who it suits
Independent UK takeaways and restaurants that want their own ordering channel without replacing the counter till.
What Codefusion manages
Platform hosting, updates, SSL on connected domains, initial menu load as agreed, brochure design within the template, technical support.
What the restaurant manages
Day-to-day menu and hours (unless Fully Managed), accepting orders on the tablet, paper and charging the tablet, telling Codefusion about faults.
Hardware requirements
A 10-inch Android tablet and 80mm kitchen printer are recommended. Hardware and Installation is a one-off add-on, not a substitute for a software package.
Support provided
Technical support during agreed hours (hours are not published until Codefusion sets them). Priority support is an entitlement on Fully Managed.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a till?
No. It is online ordering, a tablet order terminal, printing, and a dashboard. The counter till stays as it is.
Who does the customer pay?
The restaurant, via Stripe Connect. Codefusion does not hold food-order funds.
