Codefusion OrderPlatform

Frequently asked questions

Is this a till?

No. It is online ordering, a tablet order terminal, printing, and a dashboard. The counter till stays as it is.

Who does the customer pay?

The restaurant, via Stripe Connect. Codefusion does not hold food-order funds.

Do customers need an account?

No. Guest checkout with email tracking is Version 1.

Can they pay on collection?

No. Version 1 is pay up front. Cards are not stored on the platform.

What if the tablet sleeps?

The app reconnects and fetches the live queue. Keep it plugged in on the stand. Wake-lock limits are a browser constraint.

Can kitchen staff refund?

No. Refunds are owner/manager on the dashboard, within the refund rules.

Can we drag-and-drop the layout?

No. Version 1 is a Codefusion-managed template, not a website builder.

Can we stay on our old host for www?

Only if the package is Ordering-only and they link out to order. Website packages use Codefusion for www.

Is it unlimited edits?

No. The monthly allowance is the entitlement number in the database. Unused allowance is not a credit unless later agreed.

Can we bring our own tablet?

Possible but not recommended. Browser alarm and wake-lock limits still apply. Codefusion specifies hardware for a reason.

Does a printer fault cancel the order?

No. Accept stays. The print job is marked failed and staff reprint.

Who gets the money?

The restaurant. Codefusion does not hold food-order funds.

Is VAT included in the public price?

Public prices are PRICE_PLACEHOLDER until finance approves figures and VAT treatment.

What happens if the internet drops?

The tablet should reconnect and fetch the live queue. Orders already paid remain in the database. A down kitchen connection is an incident — pause ordering if you cannot accept.

Can we keep Just Eat?

Yes. This platform is your own channel. It is not a marketplace aggregator and it is not an EPOS that replaces the counter till.
